SPORTS AND CLUBS
From Grades 1-8, students have a world of sports and clubs to explore at Fern!
It's a lot to keep track of, which is why we have gathered all of the information you need in one place to make sure you and your child(ren) don't miss a meeting, try-out, practice, game or meet ever again.
PHYS ED AT FERN
Physical education and athletics are important components of education at our school and in TDSB.
Physical activity and sports provide students the opportunity for fun, challenge, and social interaction. Fern's program consists of activities that create opportunities for development of skills, knowledge, health-related fitness and ultimately, the confidence to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.
To learn more about our physical education program, check out the 2025/26 Phys Ed Guidelines and the 2025/26 Phys Ed and Health Curriculum.
In-class Pool Schedule
**The 2025/26 pool schedule is almost ready and will be posted here as soon as it is released!**
The pool schedule helps you track the days your child(ren) will participate in swimming as part of the school’s physical education program.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: THE 411
Sports
Fern offers a variety of extracurricular sports for school-aged children - and with that comes try-outs, practices and games or meets galore.
To keep you informed, our amazing Fern staff and faculty have created a sports page with all the key details students (and parents!) will need along the way. Go Falcons!
Clubs
Along with the collection of sports activities available to Fern students, the school's staff and faculty have also assembled a diverse selection of clubs for school-aged children, sparking creativity, curiosity, and connection. This includes things like Choir, Book Club, Dungeons & Dragons, Newspaper Club, and more.
On the same site as the sports page, you will also find a page dedicated to each extracurricular club at Fern, including all of the details about where and when to meet, and who to reach out to with questions.
