2025/26 Teacher Assignments & Classroom Placements

Dear Fern Families,


As shared at our May School Council meeting, all staff rosters, teaching assignments, and classroom placements will be communicated via School Messenger just prior to the Labour Day weekend. This information will not be on the June Report Card.


As there is a strong possibility that our enrollment numbers and school organization may shift over the summer, we will not be assigning teacher names or room numbers at this time. We are taking this approach thoughtfully to support student well-being and to avoid potential confusion, disappointment, or stress that may arise from last-minute changes.


Students will learn their class placement and teacher on the first day of school. This is a common practice at many TDSB schools and helps ensure a smooth and positive start to the year for all. You will also receive a welcome letter from me before the start of the school year, which will include a full overview of staff teaching assignments.


Here is the plan:

Just prior to the Labour Day Weekend, families will receive a message via School Messenger with the following details:

  • Your child’s New Teacher and Classroom

  • First-Day Procedures

  • Entry/Exit Door Assignments

  • Bell times and Other Key Start-up Information

  • Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

  • Staff Directory


We respectfully ask that families refrain from calling or emailing Vera or the school office regarding placements, as our team will be working diligently to ensure every family receives the correct information within the communicated timeline.
