This June, our graduating class will continue the grand boat race tradition and we need BOXES! And Volunteers!  We are seeking 60 LARGE CARDBOARD BOXES - bike boxes or similar are preferred!  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need a hand collecting boxes and tape, transporting items to the school, supervising the building, and judging the event. If you’ve ever wanted to hot-glue a bandana to something and call it western chic, this is your moment. We need help with DECORATIONS for this year's Spring Fling . Our annual kid rave is happening on  March 11th  - every student JK-6 will dance for a period throughout the day, and as always, the 3 classes that raise the most funds win the  very coveted  pizza party! The Dance-a-Thon is one of our biggest fundraising events, and this year we're setting a goal of  $15,000 . This will help kickstart an upcoming Library revitalization project, and allow council to continue our support of all sorts of school enrichment initiatives across all

One of the ways we communicate with families during the year is through our class reps. Class reps create and maintain a voluntary class contact list (of parents/guardians of students) and are a vital conduit for the Fern Ave School Council to get our messages to parents, for parents' concerns to get to us, to help organize holiday and goodbye gifts, etc. The time commitment is very low, and you don’t need any experience to be a class rep.  We are building our class rep roste

Many thanks to all the families who donated to the school’s fall food drive this week, and the kid helpers who helped us load up before Thanksgiving weekend.
