The Dance-a-Thon donations have been tallied, and this year our students raised over $18,000! Amazing! Congratulations to our Pizza Party Winners: Mme Miya, Ms Sikora & Mme Centeno's classes. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered to make this year's Dance-A-Thon such a success!

The Dance-A-Thon was a blast! Thanks to DJ Mike & our MCs for keeping the kids dancing all day, and all of our amazing volunteers. Last week, Fern marked Black History Month with a full day of learning, reflection, and community connection — from student assemblies during the school day to our evening Fern Family Dinner . Our annual kid rave is happening on  March 11th  - every student JK-6 will dance for a period throughout the day, and as always, the 3 classes that raise the most funds win the  very coveted  pizza party! The Dance-a-Thon is one of our biggest fundraising events, and this year we're setting a goal of  $15,000 . The wonderful folks at our independent neighbourhood toy store, Scooter Girl, have partnered with Fern Avenue School Council to bring you Fern Holiday Shopping Days! This edition will be run by our Grade 8 classes , who are organizing the event (with help from School Council) to raise funds for their Grad Trip in the spring !
