one Class Rep STILL NEEDED!
One of the ways we communicate with families during the year is through our class reps. Class reps create and maintain a voluntary class contact list (of parents/guardians of students) and are a vital conduit for the Fern Ave School Council to get our messages to parents, for parents' concerns to get to us, to help organize holiday and goodbye gifts, etc. The time commitment is very low, and you don’t need any experience to be a class rep. FERN FUN FLICKS PRESENTS: DESPICABLE ME 4!
Join us for our annual Holiday Movie Night! This edition will be run by our Grade 8 classes , who are organizing the event (with help from School Council) to raise funds for their Grad Trip in the spring ! Wednesday December 17 in the Fern Auditorium Doors at 5:30, Show starts at 6 pm To help avoid big lines at the door, this time around we are launching our NEW movie & pizza party combo . a novel solution needed
The Fern library is looking for someone/s who likes puzzles and making things! In a bid to re-organize, Ms. Balaisis (our librarian) is looking to fashion bumpers for behind the books so the kids can reach them more easily. Thanks to everyone who made it out to our last-minute council meeting on Monday! We approved spending to help offset costs for an upcoming grade 7 field trip , as well as the Forest of Reading program , and are excited for our next meeting on November 4th, where we will brainstorm and discuss our overall fundraising and spending priorities for the year ahead.
