CHINESE HERITAGE MONTH AT FERN
- Feb 4
- 1 min read
February is Chinese Heritage Month in Canada, and at Fern we are happy to recognize and celebrate the families in our school community who have Chinese heritage.
Our school is made special by the many cultures, languages, and traditions that children and families bring with them each day. Chinese heritage is part of Fern’s story—showing up in our classrooms, friendships, celebrations, food, and the ways we learn and care for one another.
This month is a chance to say: you belong here, and your culture is important.
Chinese heritage includes many stories, places, and traditions. There is no single way to be Chinese, and every family’s story is unique. We honour that diversity and the pride, love, and strength that come with it.
We are grateful for the families who share their cultures and help make Fern a kind, curious, and welcoming place. Your presence helps our school grow.
As we celebrate Chinese Heritage Month, we encourage students to listen, ask questions, and learn with respect—remembering that our differences make our community stronger.
With love,
The Equity Committee
