JUNE EVENTS ARE ALMOST HERE!

Mark your calendars for these upcoming dates & please consider volunteering if you can. Many hands makes light work! These events are part of what makes Fern such a great community for our kids.



June 1-3: Grade 8 Boat Building!

This is a beloved Fern tradition for our senior students where they build a boat out of cardboard and race those boats in the pool! But we cannot pull it off without a few more volunteers and some supplies! We need sturdy cardboard boxes (think: furniture, bikes, appliances), we need 50 more XL rolls of duct tape, we need exacto knives, and we need volunteers to help prep, supervise & judge the boat races! 


June 3, 6:30 pm: FINAL School Council Meeting of the year.

We're approving by-law amendments, and chatting about plans for next year. Curious about getting involved with Fern council next year? This meeting is for you! 


June 16th: Staff Appreciation Potluck

June 17th: Fern Pride!

June 18th: FERNAPALOOZA!

Our annual end of year bash! We will need a few core volunteers in order to run this event, and also lots of help on the day. 

PARENTS NEEDED TO LEAD: Games, Cotton Candy, Face Painting, Stuffies/Prizes, First Aid.

More info about the event, and big volunteer signup will be sent out in the coming weeks. If you have any high school students looking for hours, tell them to save the date! We will need their help!
