PRIDE DAY

THANK YOU FERN FOR A GREAT PRIDE CELEBRATION!

Our Pride celebration is now renowned in the neighbourhood.  Other schools are emulating us, and the neighbours, especially LGBTQ folks and their families, are deeply touched by this celebration.  

Thank you to all our volunteers and to the parents who came and cheered and showed their support for LGBTQ kids, staff, family members and community members.

Message from the Equity Committee:

We are looking for a few parents to help out on the morning of June 16th. We are also looking for a few sun shades for the morning.

Message from the Pride Committee:

GSOWA is working on bringing some exciting plans to life for our Pride celebration on Monday, June 16.

We are organizing a full school, Pride flag photo. To do this we are assigning a colour to each class/ grade grouping. You will see that given our combined grade classrooms some classes fall in one grade or another to help balance the number of students wearing each colour. We will also look fantastic during our parade through the community.
