WELCOME BACK PICNIC AND CURRICULUM NIGHT

Mark your calendars! Join us on October 8th from 5:00-7:30 pm for Fern School Council's first event of the year - our annual Welcome Back Picnic on Curriculum Night!

The picnic will be going on before, during and after the Curriculum Night. Curriculum Night will be held in two half-hour sessions, from 6-7pm to accommodate folks with more than one child. More info on this will come soon!

PICNIC: Bring a blanket, BYO picnic spread or snag some of the pizza and bake sale treats that we'll have available for purchase & set up for a lovely evening on our beautiful field.

There will be live music c/o Fern's own grade 7 rock band the Electric Woodchucks and our local dad band Superspreader, our 2nd annual Halloween Costume Swap will also be going on at this time AND we'll be holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Parkdale Community Food Bank, so there’s LOTS to do!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Help us set up, sell pizza & baked goods and contribute treats to our bake sale table. Students grade 7 & up (including secondary students) are also encouraged to volunteer! Sign up for a slot here.

COSTUME SWAP: Drop off your gently used Halloween costumes off in the box outside the office for the swap, or just come shop the sale.

The Welcome Back Picnic is always a great opportunity for parents to chat, kids to run around, and to meet the teachers in a casual environment post-curriculum presentation. We hope to see you there!
